Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards 2018

Winners Announced!

 

National Volunteers' Week is a nationwide celebration of volunteers and volunteering which takes place, this year, from 1st – 7th June.

Volunteers' Week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to the community, while inspiring others to get involved too.

PAVS Volunteering Pembrokeshire held their National Volunteers Week celebration event on June 6th 2018 at The Regency Hall, Saundersfoot to recognise and give thanks to volunteers giving their time and commitment within their communities in Pembrokeshire.

Over 100 people attended this very vibrant event with 20+ voluntary organisations promoting various volunteering opportunities attracting many new volunteers.

The PAVS Pembrokeshire Volunteering Awards also took place at the event in the afternoon, giving recognition in 6 categories – Trustee, Individual Over 25, Individual Under 25, Group Aged Over 25, Mike Beckett Award - Group Aged Under 25. and the Mary Sigley Award where volunteering has changed the life of a person.  

Councillor Michelle Bateman, attended to present the awards and Abbie Beckett presented the Mike Beckett Award.
